Flex Pipe Replacement

The flex pipe is an essential part of any front-wheel-drive and most all-wheel-drive vehicles because it allows the exhaust system a bit of flexibility. Sometimes, it can be pretty easy to notice that your flex pipe is starting to break down. For example, in the beginning stage, you may hear a slight exhaust leak when starting up your vehicle. Typically, the leak will stop after because it hasn't become a major issue just yet. However, when the leak becomes major, you'll take notice.

At Johnson's OK Complete Exhaust Care, we can cut out the old flex pipe and weld in a new one at an affordable price.

Catalytic Converter Replacement

The Catalytic Converter is essential to your exhaust system as it converts harmful toxins into less harmful emissions. When working correctly, you won't notice it. However, when it starts to fail, you'll know as it can start to smell like rotten eggs. If your catalytic converter is failing, you will need to have it replaced. Unfortunately, you'll be unable to select a used unit to save money. Luckily our technicians can provide you a new catalytic converter in a short amount of time to quickly get your car back out on the road.

Muffler Replacement

Your muffler is what reduces the noise of combustion and expulsion of exhaust. You'll know your muffler needs to replacing when you hear louder exhaust sounds, clunking from the muffler, your engine is rattling or misfiring, etc. Your typical muffler can have a lifespan of around 40,000-80,000 miles, but it could fail sooner, depending on driving conditions.

A simple muffler replacement can take about 30-60 minutes, depending on the vehicle. We pride ourselves on the ability to replace mufflers for foreign cars like Hondas, Toyotas, and Nissan. Not a lot of other Exhaust Care Companies can offer that kind of service.

Tail Pipe Replacement

Your tailpipe may appear damaged if there is a leak in your exhaust system. Over time, your tailpipe can rust and wear out or even scrape the ground while you're driving. Exhaust leaks can be hazardous to you as the toxic gas can travel from the damaged tailpipe into your car's interior. As soon as you suspect that your tailpipe isn't working, bring it to us immediately. If it's dragging, have your vehicle towed with your windows down to prevent toxic fumes from accumulating inside.
We will put the car up on a lift and visually inspect your tailpipe for signs of wear and corrosion damage. Our team will simply replace your tailpipe with one that is manufactured to fit your specific car.

Ball Joint Replacement

The Ball Joint is what connects the car wheels to the suspension system, allowing them to move together. They are known to deteriorate if dirt, grit, and various impurities get inside, which leads to a lack of lubrication. The deterioration can affect the ball joint and cause looseness, meaning it will tend to wiggle or jolt up and down and is your clearest indicator to look into ball joint replacement.

The replacement process is not straightforward, as it can be tricky to access and install. If you're unfamiliar with suspension and wheel assembly, we highly recommend stopping by our shop to have a member of our team look into it for you.

Tie Rod Replacements

Your Tie Rod is part of your steering system. Over time, your tie rod can wear out and get loose, causing a safety concern as it'll start to separate. The separation will cause the vehicle to lose steering control. You'll notice your tie rod is loose when you hear a clunking, rattling, or knocking noise and a looseness in the steering.

We will only need to replace a tie rod on the end that needs replacing. If a tie rod is in good shape, we do not need to replace it. However, it's not uncommon for both tie rod ends to wear out around the same time, so we recommend having both replaced, even if just one starts to become loose.
